Hello Monday, let's make this week amazing!

Geek Gossip
#Microsoft - Microsoft came under fire last week - a product manager - Ms. Kamath from Bengaluru wrote an official blog about how to use Azure services to train your own LLM. The problem? The corpus they asked the readers use to train the LLM turned out to be Harry Potter books - that are not yet in the public domain (you could argue they were pirated copies)!
#ContentModeration - Some really disturbing stuff. Worth the read. Not all jobs in the tech sector are rosy. Content moderation. The ones that classify images, videos and text that have been flagged by automated systems either to train AI or to catch malicious content. These are not automated (they mostly verify if the automated systems got it right or a false positive or simply training models). Absolute horror. These workers from India have a tale to tell.
#Kiro - AWS’s vibe coding tool was in the news this weekend - Why? Because an AWS engineer used Kiro, AWS’s “agentic code“, to vibe code their software - and it seemed to have passed code review too (unclear if automated or manual) - but that vibe coded software ended up bringing down an AWS service for over 13 hours!
#YannLeCun - For those unaware, Dr. Yann Le Cun, a professor at NYU, a renowned researcher in AI, Machine Learning and Robotics, travelled all the way to India and attended the AI Summit - and gave a keynote - simply to say - DONT WORK ON LLMs!
