Ronnie Screwvala-backed edtech firm, upGrad, has placed a bid to buy SoftBank-backed Unacademy at a valuation of $300 million to $400 million. If approved, the merger would rank among the largest in the Indian edtech industry. UpGrad will not pay cash for the deal.
Telecom Operators To Hike Mobile Plan Prices By 10 Percent
Telecom operators Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) are preparing to increase mobile plan prices by around 10 percent. The new rates are expected to come into effect from December 2025. The companies are reviewing their tariff structures to improve revenue and manage rising costs related to 5G services and network maintenance.

Aaron MacSween discovered some abusive bot behaviour during a routine follow-up on anomalies that had shown up in his server's log files. He found that some requests for a specific JavaScript file were coming from agents that self-identified as proper browsers. These agents were most likely trying to non-consensually collect content for training LLMs.
