Rapido Enters Indian Food Delivery Market
Rapido, a popular Indian ride-hailing platform, has quietly begun testing its food delivery service in Bengaluru, challenging market leaders Swiggy and Zomato. The startup is using its network of 10 million vehicles, including 5-6 million two-wheelers, to deliver food at lower prices by charging a fixed fee per order, not taking commissions from restaurants.
Russia Cracks Down On Whatsapp And Telegram
Russia has begun restricting calls on both WhatsApp and Telegram. This is in an effort, Russian authorities claim, to combat criminal activity. Russia is also developing its own messaging platform, which will essentially replicate these apps.
