It’s a slow news day today - not much to share. We have noticed that Monday’s are a slow news cycle day - we guess that is because the western hemisphere just signs in and there’s not much content that gets created.

#HackathonGate - Bolt AI had marketed their largest hackathon with prize money of $100,000 - HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS! The winners were announced but couple of participants are crying foul - that the winning submissions are not up to standard and there seems to be internal collusion among the organizers and winners.
#Windsurf - This developer was employee #2 at Windsurf, whose founders jumped ship and moved to Google while the company itself got acquired by another one. They shared their current employment details and how much Google offered them and how much they eventually made. Spoiler alert - not much! The founders seemed to have left their employees in the lurch.

Krutrim AI Firm Layoffs
Krutrim is an Indian AI firm founded by Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal, aiming to develop India's first comprehensive AI platform. The company has laid off a significant portion of its linguistics team, citing a shift in priorities due to fundraising delays and product traction issues. The team is being let go less than six months after their recruitment. Sources cited fundraising delays and insufficient traction for its products as underlying reasons.
