Itch[dot]io Cracks Down On Adult Content
Itch[dot]io, a platform for independent game developers, has started removing and deindexing adult content, including games with sexualized images, AI-generated imagery, and content glorifying violence or minors. This means that many adult games are no longer visible in searches or user recommendations, but can still be accessed through direct links. Why? Payment providers such as Mastercard and Visa are arm twisting companies to keep payments family friendly, in simple terms. Even Steam had to crack down on adult content.
