Daily dispatches from the world of technology.

Happy Thursday! Let's give it our all today!

Geek Gossip
#Foxconn-Apple - Foxconn Technology Group has asked hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians to return home from its iPhone factories in India, dealing a blow to Apple Inc.'s manufacturing push in the country. The withdrawal of Chinese staff will affect efficiency on the assembly line, but not impact the quality of production in India, and comes at a bad time for Apple as it prepares to ramp up production of the new iPhone 17 with its manufacturing partners in India.
#IPTheft - An ex-Apple employee jumped ship to Snap - which should be normal, except, he took a bunch of super confidential files with him, including stuff about the new AR headset, and now Apple's suing him for breach of contract!
#Layoffs - Microsoft is laying off almost 9,000 people! They're saying it's to make the company more efficient and agile, but sounds like that’s just a nice way of saying they're trying to cut costs. And isn't it ironic that they're cutting jobs while saying AI isn't a threat to employees?
