Geek Gossip

#Naukri - Lohith Gowda, a security researcher, just exposed a major bug on Naukri[dot]com that leaked recruiters' email addresses, leaving them vulnerable to phishing attacks and spam. The issue's been fixed, but not before it put thousands of users at risk.

#RelianceRetail - Looks like Mukesh Ambani's attempt to take on Amazon and Flipkart with Shein India isn't quite working out. The app's downloads have tanked, and experts are unsure if the recent spike will last. Guess Ambani's gonna have to try harder to make a dent in the Indian e-commerce market.

#Meta - Meta is expanding the ranks of its lowest-rated employees in their midyear performance reviews. The move comes months after it laid off nearly 4,000 employees whom it labeled low performers. The company also told managers to be more rigorous when evaluating employees on the borderline between performance tiers.

#AI-CEO - Klarna CEO just announced their earnings. Except, it wasn’t their CEO. They used an AI in place of their CEO to announce their earnings. It looked just like their CEO and had the same voice but it was an AI. You can check out the link to see the “AI CEO”
